PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION:

Product Name: Alfas Seal PVC Foam.

COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS:
Flexible polyvinyl chloride (pvc) foam with (where required an acrylic based adhesive applied to one or both sides). Prior to use the adhesive is protected by removable siliconised paper.

HAZARD IDENTIFICATION:
The product is not regarded as having any significant associated hazards. The product is free from lead and free from cadmium stabilising metal compounds.

FIRST-AID MEASURES:

Skin contact:	Wash carefully with proprietary cleaner and water.
Eye contact:	Irrigate with water to remove.
Inhalation:	No risk.
Ingestion:	Seek medical advice if discomfort arises and persists.
Further information:	Acrylic based adhesive will bond strongly to most surfaces. May be removed using a suitable chlorinated solvent.

FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES:
Extinguishing media: All media suitable.
Additional information: Burning produces dense acrid and acidic fumes and smoke which are hazardous to health. Fire fighters should use self-contained breathing apparatus when tackling the fire.

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:
Collect up and dispose of in the normal waste.

 

HANDLING AND STORAGE:
Store in original packaging in a cool and dry area.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION:
No special precautions are necessary but the use of gloves are recommended during handling and installation of the product especially for persons of a sensitive nature. Wash hands immediately after use.

The material contains no components classed as toxic. Prolonged handling may cause skin irritation in some individuals.

ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
No adverse ecological effects known.

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS:
No special disposal considerations necessary. Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.

TRANSPORT INFORMATION:
Not classified as hazardous for road, rail, sea or air transport.
