Railtrack has spent over £1 million regenerating Portsmouth Harbour Station. On a contract that lasted six months Gable (uk) Ltd were contracted to carry out a major overhaul of the station roof, which consisted of stripping off the existing material and replacing it with Hoogovens Kalbau single skin aluminium profile. This was fixed directly to 12mm heavy section steel with grade 304 Austenitic Stainless Steel self drilling screws, specially lacquered to match the colour of the roof sheet
