COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS:
A self adhesive bitumen and modified rubber compound with an aluminium foil backing (may be lacquered depending on the finish specified). The adhesive layer is protected prior to use by a siliconised interleave.
HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION:
Not classified as hazardous during normal handling and use. Contact of bitumen with the skin may cause irritation. Handling during installation without gloves may result in cuts from the aluminium foil.
FIRST AID MEASURES:

Further information:
The product will burn if heated and / or exposed to sources of ignition. Burning produces dense black smoke and toxic gases. Fire fighters should use self contained breathing apparatus when tackling the fire.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:
Collect up and place in a suitable container pending disposal.
HANDLING AND STORAGE:
Store upright and in original packaging in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures in excess of 50 dg C to prevent roll distortion.
EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION:
The use of protective clothing and stout gloves to prevent cuts from the aluminium backing are recommended. The use of a proprietary barrier cream will aid the removal of the bitumen compound should contact occur. Do not eat, smoke or drink during use. Wash hands thoroughly after use.

STABILITY AND REACTIVITY:
Stable and unreactive during normal use. The bitumen component will dissolve when in contact with organic none polar solvents.
TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
The bitumen component has moderate toxicity and is a moderate irritant. Some bitumen's may contain polycyclic aromatic compounds (PACs), some of which when made available by solvent dilution or poor personal hygiene and prolonged repeated skin contact, are suspected as carcinogens in humans.
ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION:

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations using an approved landfill or by incineration.
TRANSPORT INFORMATION:
Not classified as hazardous for road, rail, sea or air transport. Flash point is above 150 dg C.
