Key Features

A high quality solvent-release bedding sealant made from a blend of rubber, fillers and polymers. Seamseal BR is a plastic sealant as defined in BS6213:1982 'Selection of construction Sealants'

Uses

For bedding aluminium window frames into timber subframes
For sealing of roofing and cladding where a thin joint is required
For sealing seams and joints in duct work

Performance

The following information assumes good joint design. For non-standard situations refer to technical services department

Movement accomadation: +/- 10% Seamseal BR is designed for use in bedding and lap joints
Adhesion: Good to wood, brick, concrete, glass, metals and plastics
UV light resistance: Good
Chemical resistance: Good to dilute acids and alkalis
Service Temp range: -20'C to +90'C
Expected Life: 15 years dependant on joint size and service temperature, longer if protected from UV light
Shelf Life: 12 Months

*Not suitable for surfaces which can be affected by white spirit, eg. Bitumen

Application

Surface preperation: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from frost, grease and loose material
Priming: Primers are not required for adhesion to wood, brick, glass and metal
Application Temp range: +5'C to +30'C
Application details: Cut nozzle to correct diameter for joint size. Apply with skeleton gun or powered gun into joint ensuring good contact with surfaces.
Tooling: Can be carried out with a wet spatula within 10 minutes of application.

Packaging

Packed into 380ml cartridges with screw on nozzle. 24 cartridges per carton.

Contains white spirit
Avoid contact with skin and wash hands immediately after use
